Get access token from your Shopify store (Apps)
In order to set up an integration to your Shopify store Sharespine requires the following:
- URL to the Store.
- Admin API Access token.

Step by step
Follow the steps below to generate an access token from Shopify (required)

Go to "Settings" > "Apps & sales channels" > "Develop apps".

Click on "Create an app":

Enter a name for the app and choose an app developer who has rights to create apps in you.

Go to "Configure Scopes for Administration API" and tick read and/or write all permissions (if you want to keep it simple) but if you want to specify only the relevant ones, you can choose these 13:
English | Swedish (depending on which language you have in your Shopify store)

Check for both Read and Write if both exist for all Scopes above
- Click "Save" (Once the rights are set, the app can be installed).
- Click on "Install app" at the top right and then the "install" button. (Now an Admin API Access Token has been created.)
- Click "Show token once" and copy the access token to a safe place on your computer. Please note that it is only possible to see your access token once.
- Sharespine needs this access token as well as your URL to your store (eg: at the correct address: https://store.myshopify.com/) in order to connect your systems.
Common error messages
- "Some settings parameters were missing: shop"
- Probably wrong Shopify address for your store. Ex: at correct address: https://store.myshopify.com/
- "Could not connect with the external system, please verify your information and try again:
- ResourceNotFound(20015008, RemoteSystemError): Resource not found: {"errors":"Not Found"}"
- Doesn't seem like you entered an address for your store. Feel free to contact us and we will help you.
