Introduction
If you have recurring system combinations when setting up your customers, it is recommended to use customer account templates. A template includes the same options as when creating a customer account and serves as a shortcut for all users who create accounts. It saves time, minimizes the risk of missing any details, and ensures that certain types of accounts are set up identically, regardless of who the user is.
Sharespine will assist you in creating the first templates so that you can get started quickly and easily. Therefore, consider this guide as something you may want to use later when the need arises.
Template management
In the template, you configure everything that will apply when it is eventually used. It is recommended to use Assistant(s) within the template to avoid manually setting all individual detailed settings.
The first section covers basic template settings. The second section is for Assistant(s), which are useful for avoiding detailed configurations. If you want or need to go into details, the third section, Options (which functions and systems should be available for the customer account), is applicable, and it includes everything available on your partner account.
Tip on Reseller API
If you are using the platform's Reseller API, you can also use templates via those calls. You refer to the template's unique code, and the system will then apply all the settings from the template and add any additional fields sent with the request.
