Description

This error occurs when a product SKU is submitted but does not follow the correct format required by the receiving system.

Cause

• The SKU contains a combination of characters or structure that is not allowed.

• The SKU exceeds the receiving system’s rules for length or format.

• The SKU includes an invalid mix of characters (e.g., multiple hyphens or plus signs in the wrong context).

Resolution

1. Check the receiving system’s rules for valid SKU format.

2. Use only allowed characters (typically letters A–Z, a–z, numbers 0–9, and certain special characters such as ._-+/).

3. Ensure that the SKU is not too long or incorrectly structured.

4. Correct the SKU and try submitting the product again.
