Description

The brand sent with the product cannot be matched in the receiving system. The product has Brand = X Y, but the corresponding brand does not exist (or is not recognized) by the system or the mapping.

Cause

• The brand is missing in the receiving system or is inactive/unpublished.

• Mapping/alias for the brand name is missing (e.g., the system has “X” or “Y,” but not the combination).

• Punctuation/format does not match (e.g., x, &, -, extra whitespace, casing: “X” vs “Y”).

• The receiving system requires BrandID but only a name string is provided.

• Typos or duplicate names in the source system.

Resolution

• Search for the brand in the receiving system. Does “X Y” exist? If not, create it.

• Normalize the name: remove extra whitespace, check casing, and replace characters according to how the brand is registered in the receiving system.

• If the target system requires BrandID, send the correct ID instead of (or together with) the name.

• Re-send/update the product after correcting.
