Description
The error GenericError(20007005, RemoteSystemError) occurs during export from the Integration Platform to Fortnox.
Fortnox returns error code 2001720 with the message: Purchase account not updated. Account "4011" does not exist.
This means that the export is trying to use a purchase account (PurchaseAccount) that is not created or available in Fortnox, which prevents the export from completing.
Cause
Account does not exist in Fortnox: The specified account (4011) is not set up in the chart of accounts.
Wrong chart of accounts: The selected account may not exist in the chart of accounts currently used in Fortnox (e.g., BAS 2024 vs. an older version).
Account is inactive or blocked: Even if the account previously existed, it may have been deactivated or is no longer valid for the current accounting period.
Incorrect setting in the Integration Platform: The mapping for the purchase account in the product or the integration settings points to an account that does not exist in Fortnox.
Action
Verify that the account exists in Fortnox
Log in to Fortnox.
Go to Register → Chart of Accounts.
Search for account 4011.
If the account does not exist: add it manually if it should be used.
Ensure that the account is active

If it is blocked: activate the account or choose another valid purchase account.
Check the integration settings
Log in to the Integration Platform.
Verify the mapping for PurchaseAccount at product or category level.
Switch to an account that exists in Fortnox (e.g., 4010 – “Purchases of goods and materials”).
Retry the export
Once the correct account has been set in Fortnox and in the Integration Platform, run the export again.
Verify that the order/product is recorded correctly in Fortnox.
Summary
The error occurs because purchase account 4011 does not exist or is inactive in Fortnox. The solution is to either add the account in Fortnox, activate it, or update the mapping in the Integration Platform so that a valid account is used.
